Easy Tomato Mozzarella Salad

   Prep Tomato and Basil

   Give the tomato and basil a quick rinse. Slice the tomato into cross sections, aiming for about 1-inch wide pieces. Coarsely chop the basil.

   Layer Tomato, Mozzarella, Basil

   Cut the mozzarella into pieces about 1/4-inch wide.

   Arrange the tomato slices, mozzarella, and chopped basil in alternating layers or rows on a plate, building a stack or creating an overlapping pattern.

   Finish and Season

   Finish the salad with a generous drizzle of olive oil. Season with salt and pepper to taste. If you like, add a shot of balsamic vinegar over the top; it's optional but adds a nice tang.
