Polish patties (kotlety)
These Polish patties, or kotlety, are made from ground beef mixed with a milk-soaked bread roll and aromatic fried onion. The softened bread keeps the patties tender and moist inside, while pan-frying gives them a crisp, golden-brown exterior. They're a simple, comforting dish, perfect with mashed potatoes or a fresh salad.

Soak Bread, Fry Onion
Let the bread roll soak in the 120ml milk until it's completely soft. While that's happening, heat the 100ml vegetable oil in a pan and fry the chopped onion for about 8 minutes, or until it's soft and turns a deep golden color. - 02
Combine Patty Mixture
Squeeze any excess milk from the softened bread roll. In a large bowl, combine the ground beef, egg, minced garlic clove, marjoram, the fried onion, and the squeezed bread. Mix everything together until just combined, then season well with salt and pepper.
