Peanut Butter Cookies

   Preheat Oven

   Set your oven to preheat to 350ºF (180ºC).

   Mix Dough

   In a large bowl, combine the peanut butter, sugar, and egg. Mix them until they're thoroughly blended into a cohesive dough.

   Roll Dough Balls

   Scoop out spoonfuls of dough and roll each into a ball. Arrange these cookie balls onto a nonstick baking sheet, leaving some space between them.

   Criss-Cross Pattern

   To help the cookies bake evenly and give them their classic look, flatten each ball by pressing down firmly with a fork.

   Turn the fork 90 degrees and press again to create the signature criss-cross pattern.

   Bake Cookies

   Bake for 8 to 10 minutes, or until the bottoms of the cookies are golden brown. They might still seem soft when you pull them out, but they'll firm up as they cool.

   Cool Cookies

   Carefully transfer the baked cookies from the baking sheet to a wire rack and let them cool completely.
