Zemiakové Placky
Zemiakové Placky are crispy Slovak potato pancakes, made from grated potatoes, onion, and garlic, bound with egg and flour. The key to their texture is squeezing out excess moisture from the potatoes before mixing. Fry them until they're deeply golden and serve them hot, perhaps with a dollop of sour cream or a garlic dip.

Grate and Drain Potatoes
Start by peeling and finely grating the potatoes. For the crispiest pancakes, use a clean kitchen towel to squeeze out as much moisture as possible from the grated potatoes. - 02
Mix the Batter
In a large mixing bowl, combine the grated potatoes, chopped onion, minced garlic, 4 eggs, 4 tablespoons all-purpose flour, 1 teaspoon marjoram, salt, and black pepper. Stir everything together until you have a thick, consistent batter.
