   Muddle the Kiwi

   In a cocktail shaker, combine 1/2 kiwi (sliced or diced for easier muddling) with 1 teaspoon of sugar syrup. Muddle them together until the kiwi is thoroughly crushed and its juices are released into the syrup.

   Shake with Vodka

   Add 1 1/2 ounces of vodka to the shaker, then fill it with ice. Secure the lid and shake vigorously for about 15-20 seconds, until the shaker is thoroughly chilled on the outside.

   Strain and Garnish

   Double-strain the mixture into a chilled martini glass to remove any small kiwi bits. Garnish with a fresh slice or wedge of kiwi.
