Prepare Glass, Shake, and Garnish
First, prepare your cocktail glass: rub the rim with 1/4 tsp lemon juice, then dip it into powdered sugar until evenly coated. Set aside.
In a cocktail shaker, combine the 3/4 oz apricot brandy, 1 1/2 oz gin, 3/4 oz dry vermouth, 1 tsp grenadine, and the remaining lemon juice. Fill the shaker with ice and shake vigorously until the outside is frosty, about 15-20 seconds.
Strain the chilled cocktail into your prepared glass. Drop in the 1 cherry and serve immediately.
