Paszteciki (Polish Pasties)
Paszteciki are savory Polish pasties, essentially a baked pastry wrapped around a rich, cooked meat filling. The dough comes together quickly with butter and egg, then chills until firm. For the filling, beef brisket is cooked with onion and swede, then ground and dried out in a pan until it’s thick enough to hold its shape. Once assembled and baked until golden, these are often served as an appetizer or alongside soup.
