If you're using a 5x15 inch sweet bread pan, start checking for doneness around 50 minutes. For traditional, taller bread pans, the loaves may need a little longer to bake. In this case, lower the oven temperature to about 325 degrees F (160 °C) and continue baking until done.
The bread is finished when it's set in the center and a knife or toothpick inserted into the middle comes out clean.
