Hveder - Danish Wheat Buns
These Hveder are soft, lightly spiced wheat buns, traditionally Danish. The dough is enriched with eggs and butter, giving them a tender crumb. A hint of cardamom adds a warm, aromatic note. They require two rises, but the hands-on time is minimal. They're best served warm, perhaps toasted, with a smear of butter.

Warm Milk and Yeast
Gently warm the milk in a saucepan until it's just warm to the touch, around 25°C / 77℉. Pour it into a mixing bowl, then stir in the yeast until it dissolves.
