Feteer Meshaltet
Feteer Meshaltet is an Egyptian layered pastry, made by stretching a simple dough incredibly thin, then folding it with plenty of butter and olive oil. The process creates many delicate, flaky layers inside a crisp, golden crust. It bakes quickly in a hot oven, puffing up beautifully as it cooks. Serve it warm, perhaps with a drizzle of honey or a sprinkle of powdered sugar, or even with savory dips.
