Dried Cranberry Chocolate Cookies

Line 2 baking sheets with parchment paper. In a medium bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder, baking soda, and salt.
In a standing mixer fitted with the paddle attachment, beat the butter and both sugars on medium speed until the mixture is creamy, scraping down the sides of the bowl as needed.
Add the egg, followed by the egg yolk and vanilla, beating well after each addition until fully incorporated. Don't forget to scrape down the sides of the bowl to ensure everything is mixed.
Gradually beat in the dry ingredients until just combined; be careful not to overmix.
Stir in the chocolate chips and dried cranberries until they are evenly distributed throughout the dough.
Drop heaping teaspoons of dough onto the prepared baking sheets, leaving about 2 inches between each cookie to allow for spreading.
