In a large bowl, whisk together the 2 cups flour, 1/2 cup cocoa powder, 1 teaspoon baking soda, and salt. Set this aside.
In a separate bowl, using an electric mixer, beat the 6 tablespoons butter and 1 cup granulated sugar until the mixture is light and fluffy.
Add the 2 eggs to the butter mixture and beat until everything is well combined.
Gradually stir in the flour mixture to form a stiff dough. Then, fold in the 1 cup walnuts and 3/4 cup semisweet chocolate chips, using your hands to mush them in if needed, ensuring they're evenly distributed throughout the dough.
Let the baked logs cool on the baking sheet for 5 minutes. This makes them easier to handle.
Transfer the logs to a cutting board and slice them diagonally into 3/4-inch pieces. Arrange these slices, cut sides down, back on the baking sheet and bake for another 10 minutes.
Flip the biscotti pieces over and bake for an additional 10 minutes, or until they are dry and crispy. Once baked, transfer them to a wire rack to cool completely.
